Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house by using a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home earnings isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who here are researching or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
